Boebert now admits she skipped the debt ceiling vote out of spite | Flipboard

So, I read this crazy article on Flipboard called “Boebert now admits she skipped the debt ceiling vote out of spite.” Basically, Rep. Lauren Boebert from Colorado supposedly skipped out on a really important vote in Congress just because she was annoyed at her colleagues. Classic politics, right?

In all seriousness, this is a pretty big deal. The debt ceiling is a super important financial issue that affects our whole country. It basically puts a limit on how much money the government can borrow and spend, and it can have serious consequences if it’s not handled properly. So when a member of Congress skips out on a vote like this, it’s a big deal.

Boebert claims that she had other things to take care of that day, but some sources say that she actually just didn’t want to take part because she was mad at other Republicans in the House. It’s really disappointing to see politicians putting their own personal feelings ahead of what’s best for the country.

All in all, this article was a good reminder of why we need to pay attention to what’s happening in our government. Even when it seems like their actions don’t affect us directly, the decisions they make can have a huge impact on everyone. It’s important to hold our elected officials accountable and make our voices heard when we disagree with what they’re doing.
