Money saving tips: Mum shares hack that helped her save £40 a month on energy bills | Personal Finance

So I read this article about how this mom figured out a way to save £40 a month on her energy bills and I gotta say, it’s pretty genius! Basically, she noticed that her electricity meter was still running even when she turned off appliances, so she started unplugging everything when she wasn’t using it. And voila! The bill went down by 40 quid.

Now, I’m not much of a DIY person myself, but I do know that energy bills can be a real pain in the butt. I remember when I was living on my own for the first time, I was shocked by how expensive they were. I had no idea what I was doing and I definitely wasn’t as savvy as this mom. But now, I always make sure to turn off lights and unplug things when I’m not using them. It’s a small thing, but it really does make a difference in the long run.

Anyway, I think this article is a great reminder that there are always ways we can save money if we’re willing to put in a little effort. It might not seem like a lot in the moment, but over time those small savings can really add up. And with everything going on in the world right now, who couldn’t use a little extra cash in their pocket?

So if you’re like me and trying to be more responsible with your finances, give this article a read. It might just inspire you to make some small changes that could make a big difference in your bank account.
