Hi, I’m John Taylor, an exterminator and a self-taught tinkerer. When I was on the job at people’s homes doing routine pest control, I would get asked all the time: Do you have anything to help with the mosquitos?
I never had a good answer for them. Sure, there are lots of devices and candles you can buy, but I already knew they were largely ineffective. That’s when I started thinking about something better to kill mosquitos.
Then COVID hit.
And I suddenly I had lots of extra time on my hands. And I had what I thought were some good ideas for killing bugs. Then, crazy as it sounds, I started seeing these studies about new species of mosquitoes showing up in the U.S. and it was concerning. Now, mosquitoes were not just a pest, they were killers.
My goal was to kill mosquitoes without using harmful chemicals or annoying, smelly chemical candles like Citronella. And now, with some engineering and design help, I have what might be the safest and most effective mosquito killer ever. I call it ZapTek. And my team, and millions of people, have put it to the ultimate test.
How Does It Work? The patented design is both innovative and very effective.
Instead of trying to keep the mosquitoes away or zapping them with high voltage, it actually attracts, catches and kills them!
ZapTek uses UV light to attract insects. A quiet suction fan and a 1-way trapdoor keep them trapped. The bugs will be air-dried to die in just under 2 minutes (they quickly die without moisture).
Once trapped in the drying basket, you can simply empty the basket into the trash. You don't even have to touch them.
It's powered by a USB connection. The low voltage makes it perfectly safe for children and pets.
And it's very portable! You can even plug it into a power bank and take it with you when you go camping!
No need for chemicals or batteries. It's also very silent when operating
I connected my ZapTek to a USB powerbank so I could use it outdoors. I was hoping my grandchildren were no longer going to be eaten alive when they visited us.
As soon as I saw the mosquitoes come close to the device, those little monsters got sucked into the trap and were getting destroyed!!
I caught a lot of mosquitoes after just ONLY ONE NIGHT with ZapTek
